Rajesh works for Meena's father. Meena and her friend Taruna decide to play a prank on him. Both women pretend to fall in love with him, but he finds out, resulting in acrimony.

Beautiful Meena lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her widowed dad, Thakur, in a small town in India. When her dad hires a new Manager, Rajesh, she and her friend, Taruna, decide to tease him and make him believe that both are in love with him. He finds out and pretends that he has fallen in love with both. As a result both women end up falling in love with him with the Thakur ready to permit Meena to wed with him. Acrimony sets in between Meena and Taruna when Meena makes it clear that she wants Rajesh for herself as well as reminds her that her marriage has been finalized with their Contractor, Lala Bhagatram, when Taruna was a child. Then Rajesh is assaulted by some men and his mother, Shanti, attends to look after him. It is her presence that will not only unleash a dark secret from their past, which included a murder, but also lead to another homicide.

Raja Kumar Bahadur alias Gyan Shankar Rai has been a total abstainer all his life, never touching a drop of alcohol, and keeping away from women and all known vices all his life. Years later, he sees another beautiful woman, about half his age, named Sumita, meets with her parents, pays off their debts, and marries her in the bargain. He brings Sumita home, but makes it clear that Madhuri's word is law here. Then Kumar finds out that Sumita had a childhood sweetheart in Shekhar, who has now returned from abroad. Kumar meets with Shekhar and finds out that both still have feelings for each other.

Vijay trys to save every workers life in order to overcome his haunted past but to no avil. But one day water forced itself in one of the mining tunnels, endangering the lives of over 400 workers. Vijay along with some of his other colleagues put up a big fight to save each and every workers life. Which at last was successful and Vijay was able to overcome his troubled past.

Dr. Satish travels from the big city to a small village, where he can serve the poor who cannot afford to go to the city for medical treatment. Once in the village, he meets with Shanti, who lives with her dad, Radhekiran, a watchman. Both Shanti and Satish fall in love, and exchange vows to be married. Radhekiran has an accident, and dies, leaving Shanti to re-locate, without notifying Satish. Satish is devastated at losing Shanti, and tries to locate her, to no avail. His parents want him to marry Kamini, and he agrees to do so. It is then he comes across Shanti, and he is shocked to see that Shanti has given birth to baby-boy, but will not disclose who the father is.

Neena and Kumar meet while on a trip in Kashmir and eventually fall in love. However, another man, Shyam, discovers that Neena is the heir to a large fortune and schemes to win her.
